Display Glitches
What many users associate with a display glitch can range from the screen items being too big and distorted to something more serious, such as the screen showing groups of pixels flickering, bouncing to and fro.
If the user interface elements on your screen look abnormally large and distorted, maybe even a bit pixelated, it’s likely that your screen resolution isn’t set to the optimal size. This is usually caused by a recently opened program not functioning properly, or forgetting to set your resolution back to the optimal resolution. Another cause can be connecting your computer to a lower resolution display.
For Windows: Right click the desktop > click Display settings > next to “Display resolution”, there is a drop down where you can pick the recommended optimal resolution – Windows labels it as such, for example: 3840×2160 (Recommended).
For Mac: Go to the Apple menu > System Settings > Displays > on the right pane, click on the option labeled “Default” – this represents the optimal resolution for your Mac.
Pixels glitching, dancing, bouncing, or flickering about usually signify something serious, likely meaning that your computer might have to be sent for repairs, or at worst, be replaced altogether. A last resort may be to update or reinstall your display drivers.
